IS DIGITAL INDIA; TRULY ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE

The government of India, under the PM of Shri Narendra Modi, has launched the plan for digitalising the nation. This sounds pretty fascinating for all those in urban and data companies, but is this an essential move by the developing nation?

There are two sides to be considered for any given situation, Pros and Cons. The nation feels that the knowledge would be access able to everyone in the nation via the digitalisation. I'm sure more than 50% of the people in urban areas would have an access to the Internet facility. I'm pretty sure that the scheme such as Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan has more potential to enhance the knowledge in India. If this scheme couldn't satisfy the needs for knowledge amongst the poor section, I bet the digitalisation can't.

To access Internet one might need to have digital gadget. These gadgets are not feasible to poor section of India. The digitalisation will be useful for only those who are rich enough to own the digital gadgets and the data companies which provide the data connectivity.

This digitalisation will not solve the problem. If the government feel that the knowledge should be accessible to everyone, then it would be better to deploy Libraries. This should be easily accessible; moreover the digital library would enhance the knowledge. By this way even the poorest section of the Nation could get access to the knowledge.

When we are in nation where we can’t get access to water in remote areas; what is the use of accessing the data in your mobile phone, provided we are rich enough to own the mobile. Well the mobile data would show you the water access point somewhere in other village. To implement the access of water in remote areas would cost far cheaper than that of implementing a digital data; and it is more essential too.

I don’t say digitalisation is not good. I don't say its not necessary. But I just ask you to consider the state of poor section in India, is this accessible by those people. Well government library could be a better solution with enhanced digital connectivity.

Days at college seem to change all of sudden!

26th February one of the bitter days in my college. I was late by 5 minutes since I had been to the stationery shop. When I reached my block, I saw a person collecting ID cards. He grabbed my ID card too and he asked us to leave the block. I wasn't aware that my college has started taking actions against late comers.
I went to library since I was not allowed to attend my class. There an attender asked to wear my ID or else step out of the library. I didn't know where to go. I was wandering like a lost kid all over the campus. I was exhausted and I thought of taking rest at canteen. When I sat on a chair in the canteen, a cleaner asked me not sit in canteen. When I asked them the reason, they mention it's an order from higher authorities to not to let students to sit inside canteen during class hours. I was also thrown out of Canteen.
I couldn't attend my Electronic Devices Lab too. I had approached Registrar, ECE HOD. Everyone said that they didn't get my ID. Finally after a long search came to know that my ID is with Controller Of Examination (COE). I had to write a apology letter for being 5 minutes late to my class. He didn't realize that I have lost a complete 3 hours Lab session and theory session. I also doubt what does the COE has to do with late comers.
Firstly, If I had been late to my class, only my professor has right to send me out of class. Secondly, if system emphasizes the ID card, then why the hell they grab it from a student. Sometimes decisions taken by the administrative is really stupid.

PONGAL FESTIVAL NOT JUST FOR HOLIDAYS

The most popular Harvest Festival in India is Pongal. This is Four days festival. ON the first day, people replace old things with new once. On the second day, people praise Almighty Sun. The Sun is ultimate energy for all living beings on the earth. The Solar energy plays vital role in farming too. On the third day, people praise cattle. The cattle played major role in ploughing, dairy etc. On the fourth day, people have get together.

The Pongal is celebrated as a Farmers Festival. India is a country where majority of people are engaged in farming. The status of these Farmers degrading day by day. Even Farmers are not preferring his successors to be a farmer. People say Indian farmers live in debt and die in debt. But no one has taken measures to secure these farmers.

Politician create laws and Executives implement but this scenario never changed. I don't want to get into the political issues. The Farmers merely get 10-20 % of most of the selling crop's price. The rest is earned by the middle man. The farmers should at-least get 40-50% of the crop's market price.

The urban people treat villagers or peasants as illiterate. Farmers and their families were ill-treated by urban people. This makes an impression in the minds of the farmer that there is no value in farming to his successors.

In reality farmers are not illiterate, they know many things related to nature compared to the educated showing off people. Only thing is they may not know about the advanced technology that the urban people are used to. The Farmers must be aided to upgrade themselves to the dynamic world.

The farmlands are divided into small fragments due to this the effective productivity of these farmers are reduced. The advanced technology machines may not be effective for small fragmented land. The Farmlands must be integrated to increase effective productivity.

Everyone in the nation must treat farmers has lords. They are the ones who would feed the raising population. Government should give preference to backward farmers and their families.

Everyone does something to get any sort of food, but why should farmers who cultivate suffer to get something for their own. This must change, otherwise nation will face famine.

Resolution 2015

I have always wondered why do people celebrate this day, 1st of January, crazily year after year. I think it as just another day. But the society feels as though it is some auspicious day. May be since it is declared as holiday people celebrate it crazily. But why does the government need to declare it as holiday?

When I ask people they say it is the day one which one looks at the past events of the year, have condolence to unfortunate events and triumph over fortunate events. They also believe that they want the upcoming year must be full of triumphs. I don't know why don't they do this every day and expect a better tomorrow. They do only once in that year, 31 December.

There are a set of people who have a belief on celebrating with hot drinks. I don't know, what's the need for those drinks? May be they want to condole and triumph over the past events with a intoxicant. People following this methodology increases exponentially in successive years. I believe this is weird kind of celebration. You will question me why? According to me any celebration must be my memorable event. But this intoxicants make you forget who you are. Then how could you remember the celebration in the first place.

Many people do take up resolutions or start a task. They feel that they follow the resolution or the task continues throughout the year successfully. Well these things does not happy all throughout the year. If actually happens then you would lose the thrill of the life.

I believe everyone must live each and every day as their new year's eve. The day must be full of sharing love. We should help others to come up in their life rather than wasting their money on intoxicants. We must set a resolution for a day. We must set a task for the day. We may not even count your ages in tens rather you can count your ages in thousands. You could feel the thrill of living thousands of years in one single life.

Let and be in Peace.
Let and be in Triumph.
Hail the world!!!
